hurrah order shipped new E6600/1900XT to replace AMD3200/6800GT :)

quick question, I have to be at work in the afternoon, it if comes will city link put a note through the door and let me pick it up friday morning?? I don't want them to ship it back to OC!!

When i've missed a delivery date they left a note with a phone number on it. I called the number and it was an automated system which let me arrange a new delivery date. It was easy to use and iirc you could also arrange to collect at the depot :)

i realy disslike city link... could be just my area, however you will get a note and have to call to say you will pick it up otherwise they will try to deliver it again tomorrow. well that's whet hapens in stoke.
 
ah ok thanks, can't wait to get it all, off work friday and missus away all day saturday so two days of building and tweaking and probably posting many messages about why it won't post ;)

Same problem. The same things are coming tomorrow, but no one is in (hoped it would arrive last 2 days when someone was in, but it wasnt to be :( )

Have to hope a neighbour is in and go ask them tonight. Off friday though so i can `play`. I`m hoping it makes my 2.2 ghz p4 with g4ti4600 look poor. Will be angry if it doesnt!

Well I wish OC had spent the time despataching my order instead of yours!!!!

I ordered £1700 of stuff at 10am. Its been sitting in the warehouse since 3.30pm for packing. Its all in stock I checked before ordering. Yet no dispatch email. I wanted it tomorrow (today) and have taken the day off work to take delivery.

Sob.
 
Some lazy warehouse staff at OcUK i'm tellin ya!

Took OcUK about 5 days to dispatch my order [everything being in stock too!].

Having said that they were prompt with my previous order! :D

hmm, well new conroe system arrived, and I unpacked all the parts and guess what - crucial part is missing ie the raptor HDD.....

bah decided to edit the rant ill talk OC customer services as I haven't had a shipment e-mail so looks like at least tuesday :mad: :mad:

At least you got something. The conroes are out of stock so my order was delayed indefinately.

I hate them as wel a dell 24" monitor went some one signed for it but not me or no one in the house

it really anoys me too, there service is great but they are supposed to deliver between 8:30 and 5:30, so how is it i always get my delivery at 7:00 in the morning :mad:

I would be very happy with that - saves waiting in all day.

I also dislike citylink. Often their online order tracking system has told me that I was not home to recieve the package - allthough I waited home ALL day - all because someone could not be bothered to attempt to deliver it. I live in the country but that is no excuse seeing as I have paid for their services. If there was another choice when ordering from OCUK I would choose it!
 
City link are so bad

When the second lot of X1800XT were on offer i got one, City link delivered it fine

I ordered a E6300, new mobo and ram, I seen a city link van 2 doors down so I phoned city link who said they will contact the driver to turn round. At the end of the day I phoned back and the person said that the driver didn’t answer his mobile.

What would happen if they found out a parcel had a bomb in. this carrier lost his life because he didn’t pick the phone up :mad:

i have had 3 things delivered by city link. the first a 21'' crt monitor was smashed to pieces like they had been playing football with it, the second i called to say i would come and pick it up the next day and they had to pick it off the pre packed truck, it took them 45 minutes to find it! and the third i waited in all day and about 3 pm i checked the door and found a note on the floor saying they had tried to deliver and i was out! i was in earshot of the door and the bell was working all day, the delivery driver must have been a ninja and dropped the note in without bothering to knock!
 
city link are useless, very familar storys being heard here, they usually dont even bother delivering my stuff, no note through the door or nothing. i have to ring them.

it gets me so vex.
