Heres what i have chosen in the end:

£75.64 x 1 - Asus GeForce 9800 GT 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card (Includes World of Warcraft Trial)
£61.73 x 1 - Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
£59.99 x 1 - Patriot Viper 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-10666 1333MHz Dual Channel (PVS34G1333ELK)
£51.30 x 1 - AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 250 3.00GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
£43.47 x 1 - Coolermaster eXtreme Power 650W Power Supply
£30.43 x 1 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 320GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (ST3320418AS)
£25.21 x 1 - Coolermaster Elite 334 Midi Case- Black (No PSU)
£17.38 x 1 - Samsung SH-S222LBEBE 22x DVD±RW IDE Dual Layer Lightscibe Drive (Black) - OEM
£3.99 x 1 - Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound

decided to stick to what i know and use geforce again. Any suggestions on overclocking CPU or GPU? worth it or not?

wasnt worth it to me to buy a high spec £800+ machine like i did last time. My brother spent like £250 and got himself a half decent machine (9500gt 512mb, AMD Athlon 2.1ghz X2, 4gb ram, 160gb hdd) and it plays the games i like most at full spec.

as long as i can play crysis / half life / eve-online / halo im happy

You could always go for the Corsair H50. It's a water cooling kit which is sealed and great reviews on it. It supports the am2 + am3, also the socket 1136 :)
Cheap price also.
