Was it listed as 'New'? It's just cosmetic though. What's the actual card like? Was it boxed in transit, like a packaging box?

Ordered new straight from the OCUK website. It was packaged in a transit box, it's a little dented too. There was giant air pocket packing material protecting it; which 3 or 4 have burst around the area of damage to the box. Not sure how it could have been torn though. There's also no seals on where the box flaps close.

If bought new I would be very tempted to send it back for another.

If B grade I wouldn't give it much thought, just as long as it's working.

Check the card for damage but I would contact them via the CS forum and provide details/pics

Contacted them to which they said the box can get damaged in transit and there aren't usually seals. They told me to try it in the machine to see if it is working before issuing an RMA.
I'm a bit annoyed since I've been waiting to to use my Vive and would rather not wait another week haha
I'm going to post on the customer service area and see what they'll say.

Tearing like in the 3rd pic is done when someone has carelessly pulled the inner box out of the outer box/sleeve. Was it in an Anti Static or bubble bag? Was that sealed? Looks to me like a card that has been returned or has been used to test something.

I had a similar issue with a mobo that looked used being sent to me. I should have used my noggin and just sent it back there and then but impatience got the better of me i ended up keeping it. Fast forward a few years later when it went fautly ASUS refused to accept an RMA as it had been registered to them a year before i purchased it "new" and OCUK wouldnt honour the warranty either. Wasnt impressed lesson learnt.

I took the approach of it worked fine so i was happy to keep it.

Was the card sealed in an anti-static bag and does its serial number match the one on the box?

It was sealed in the antistatic bag. A bit crumpled but sealed.
The serial numbers seem to match up. I can't find the P/N but the other numbers all match up :S

It's clearly not in new condition. I would be sending it back. Damaged box might hurt resale (some people care about that)

Besides, why take the risk? It's a lot of money to spend.

Yeah I think I'm sending it back. The accessories compartment is torn in the box as well and one of the packets has been opened whereas the other hasn't :/
The seal on the antistatic bag has a tear in it as well :(

Third picture clearly illustrates that somebody has sent this card back,

Terrible to receive a "new" card like this I would be very annoyed that sort of thing doesn't happen in transit as it's a box within a box.

Send it back and ensure they pay for the postage to return it.

You definitely have a used one then, or at least a returned one. When ordering a new product you shouldn't get a B-Grade one :/

Would honestly complain that's terrible that card should be in B grade section not in your hands as "new"
Rang up CS service, they've sent out a new card for me which I should get tomorrow. :)
They weren't pleased that I've had to experience this problem.
Hopefully it's in much better condition and I hand over the problematic card to the delivery guy.

Edit: I shall update as to the condition of the new card when it arrives :)
