ordered a P-II x3 720BE this morning at £120.74 , but i have just noticed they have also gone down in price today but still charged the old price . just my luck

anyways is their anything i need to do before installing it in place of my athlon x2 7750BE ?

Is your motherboard AM2+? It may require flashing for support for AM3 chips.

The BIOS flash should do everything you require for you new chip.

Worth a read if you're interested in OCing it, granted it's for the x4 940 but you can apply most of it. Also check the guys sig he's got another couple of posts.

got a strange problem with mine if i overclock it from 2.8 to 3.0ghz it works fine , shut it down at night and start it the next day and it does not post . mobo is the msi ka790gx , could it be this mobo that causes this ?

Boot able Flash Drives is what your after tbh....


OP How are you overclocking it? Multi increase? maybe try some more volts if your running stock? Is it deffo stable? TBH going from 2.8GHz to 3GHz I would be surprised if its not but...
