Ordered a Dell E7450 ultrabook laptop (like new refurb for 600gbp) for my brother in law, listing showed as an i7 5600u cpu, but rec'd an i5 5300u.

Now i know there's probably not going to be all that difference in performance, however he did pay for an i7 but rec'd an i5.

I can either return, or propose a partial refund. How much in GBP do you think the difference should be. Laptop is well worth keeping, however, he paid for an i7. Is a 100quid an acceptable amount.

Find the difference between the two models from the seller and request.

Depending on where you got it, complain it was not as advertised, but as it is a nice laptop you would be willing to settle for a partial refund?

Roughly a £100 off should be about right.
