I ordered something from ebay from a non business seller today an amazon package arrived with the said item, at first i thought they had just used an old amazon box or something but the receipt inside was from amazon with my name on.

I checked on amazon and the said product is on amazon cheaper than ebay, looks like the seller advertised the item on ebay at a higher price then ordered it after i clicked buy it now, sneaky as **** The receipt and everything is in my name have they placed this order using my details pretending to be me ?

isnt this what they call drop shipping? ive had this before and found if id ordered direct i could have saved some money :/

I always wondered who were the people who bought camera lenses used from eBay for more than they cost on Amazon or the likes. Brilliant!

Why is it sneaky? They've just used Amazon as their supplier and used them to deliver it directly.
Items don't magically come from no where into a sellers hands.

Also if it's only a few quid cheaper on Amazon after eBay fees the seller is probably breaking even at best on that particular item.

Just noticed on the recipet its marked as a gift! Its only a couple of quid cheaper ie the cost of postage i bet they have amazon prime so are getting free delivery!

It's been marked as a gift to prevent the price being included on the receipt.

It's a form of drop-shipping. It happens quite a bit, but most ebay sellers try to find sellers on Amazon which don't use the Amazon branded boxes so you never know about it. Looks like this seller couldn't be bothered :)

wait, you're complaining because you got the item cheaper from ebay than you could from amazon? (because you don't have prime so would have to pay for postage).

I think i'm going to complain to ofgem that eon are selling me gas cheaper than i could buy it direct from the north sea offshore platforms.

I had similar with a package bought on Ebay coming from Logitech with my name and address on paperwork, turned out the seller was committing warranty fraud

I am not complaining i was trying to establish what the **** was going on. i couldt give a **** what they do as long as they didn't place an order actualy pretending to be me which is what i thought they did but it was sent as a gift.

The question is: why didn't you shop around?

You've been played by a "kid sitting at his PC". Whose fault is that? :p

If it bothers you that much, get a refund and repurchase it from Amazon yourself.

You seem angry.

It's not sneaky because if you'd bought something from OcUK they don't magically manufacture it on site and post it to you they buy it from a supplier (Amazon in this case) and send it to you. Have you never seen an online shop were it states items may come directly from the supplier? This is exactly the same thing.
I feel you're just annoyed he's done you out of a couple of quid.
