At that native resolution, gaming with the 8600MGT will be very painful.

If you're not planning to game on the laptop, then ignore

the high res is more in keeping with my old dell inspiron 8100 which has 1600x1200. Dont really have any chance to play games these days but work a lot with excel and general web browsing so the res comes in handy.
