Well, after doing several laps of the AOL call centres in India, I moved to get my Mac code.
But after ordering it yesterday I had my first nights trouble free gaming on ARMAII for ages. No desync issues in-game despite my ping being 400-500.
I find it very strange that this has happened, but ultimately more strange that while my ping is high the in-game performance feels fine. Much better than the changes to my MTU which dropped my ping to 100 but created issues in-game with desync.
I was going to move to ADSL24 asap, but wondering whether its worth the hassle. Thoughts much appreciated? Think im just looking for the push to move after 5 years of AOL broadband (serving me mostly very well).
