He has slept (sacrilege) before overclock the CPU. (damn against this forum membership requirements) :D
even with PB2 i'm only getting 4.2Ghz on all cores.. hardly worth it over 4.1ghz im getting without it on. And pB" is pulling 1.55V vs 1.3V

ASUS is very generous with the PBO power. You need to use offsets.
With PBO the 2990WX can do 4.3 on all core at less than 1.5v
All core 4.3 is usually at 1.35 with the Gigabyte one
still installing stuff atm re-instating my vm's :) + 2Tb of games to download

@smogsy - is that the in-game benchmark? I was hoping for the standalone version so I can compare the results to my own and others in that thread! Just trying to work out whether Threadripper is an upgrade I would benefit from, or whether I am best off going for something more mainstream....

Ta :)
i maybe able to help you once my games have finished downloading. got a few more download... shadow of war is a monster at 120Gb

So I got it under control in happy with
Full load 60C
High boost burst 62C
Average gaming/codingtemp 36c -52c

-0.0450v offset of auto voltage

Gaming voltage is 1.244v -1.312v @ 3,999.99ghz
Gaming boosts to 4.3ghz atvtimes
Full load voltage is 1.012v @ 3,7.999.99ghz

Case fans are @40% max AIO is 60% at max (65c)

both my teamgroup 1tb are nearly added a old 860 Pro 1TB which will be full soon. so need a bunch of nvme drives any thoughts (just for steam)

A bunch, How many is a bunch? Not forgetting you can get single drives up to 4TB these days, not that you'd want them at the eye watering prices they are. Also NAND prices will probably be down around another 30+ % in the next 3-6 months, so don't go too overboard if you can add more later. :)
was thinking of getting 2 now and maybe 5 more later (1/2TBs)

Sorry guys for lack of updates it's been crazy last few months we're moving to a new office at work. Which means our datacenter also needs to move but with new hardware... And theirs two if us to do it...

Regarding the pc, had some issues with aio. Noise airbubbles etc got most out but not all. So I switched to TR4 noctua cooler dropped stress testing from 70c 5o 52c doing full load real bench. For prime it's at 58c.

Next thing will be removing all team group storage for Samsung nvme storage. As some games on teamgroup hiccup every so often which doesn't happen on my Samsung Sata SSd I recently attached.

The cpu is great for my programming workload. Recently created a cpu stress test of my own working 32 threads /cores to 100...%

Since changing to air both my intake and exhaust nnow run at 280rpm and noctua cooler only runs at 550-850rpm

My next project is converting a c# video recording software I made to python 3 to integrate into home automation. Where it can capture x screen shots per second and turn into a full video using all cores and threads

Would buy again but with air and not teamgroup budget ssds
