ordered samsung f1 , rather than f3

I have specced up my gaming pc , and brought the parts, however in my own error, dispite being reccommended the

# Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM

I went and ordered the

# Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM

my question is, whats the diffrence in performance between these 2 drives?.

Im not sure whether to sell my f1 drive and buy an f3, or buy another f1 and run 2 of them in raid for a performance increase.

infact looking i can simply return the item anyway as its been less than 10 days.

The F3 has two split 500GB platters where as the F1 doesn't. The F1's are still damn good drives. This will be of interest to you:

I've done exactly the same thing and now have an F3 and a F1. Im not to botherred though as its stil a decent drive, just not quite as fast and cool as the F3

I just purchased an F3 drive and i'm well impressed by its speeds

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 124.8MB/s
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB 92.8MB/s

The F3 is only 35% faster at reading

Average write speed..
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 96.7MB/s
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB 81.2MB/s

And is only 19% faster at writing
