I knew I would miss the wide end when i sold my carp Canon 17-85mm for the 24-105mm so decided to buy the 10-20mm.

I need to test the sharpness and detail, and hopefully it will be good, in which case i won't have to return it for the Canon 10-22mm

Have never had 2 lenses before so bought a Crumpler as well, I hope I don't find changing lenses too annoying!

Thinking about getting one of these tomorrow. How much did you pay?

It seems to get nothing but praise so seems likea good choice.

Well done on the purchase. Im thinking either the sigma or the canon.

the sigma 10-20 is nice lens but have you guys considered tokina 12-24?

I read reviews comparing the sigma, tokina, tamron and the nikon wide angle lenses and obiviously the nikon was the tops but the tokina came very close 2nd.

Also the build quality is by far the better then sigma's.

just a suggestion :)

When I buy my wide lens, I'l go either the nikon or tokina for sure.

Just got back from buying mine :)

Got it from the high street for £301 which i thought was a fair price. It's soo WIIIIDE!

saw those shots - i thought you had taken them with a macro lense. Does that mean the 10-20 has a very close focus?

It does, I took the shots at 22mm. I only used it because I only had that lens with me at the time. It really seems to bring the colours out as well. I did very little post processing.

It is my favourite lens.
