Ordered yesterday..

I've ordered a gaming chair yesterday with a DPD next day delivery which should come today before 10:30 am, yet the DPD website still says

"We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly"

Did anyone else had this problem or is this something not that common?

This has started to happen recently as DPD get the advisory that the item is going to be sent via them but OCUK didn't process the item out of the warehouse in time.

You will get the item today only if you get the actual delivery time slot confirmed via the DPD app or email. This can happen as late as 11am I've found but maybe not on larger items.

Sounds like a label was created with DPD but the parcel wasn't ready when the driver got to OcUK.

Could be a bug but that's usually the case with the parcels we send with DPD with work.

That would be annoying as I've also paid extra for the delivery before 10:30am.

This has happened to me a few times recently. Next day is now the day after next sadly.

I don't tend to order off OcUK very often, but when I have in the last few years the Free Next Day Delivery is rarely next day

But it is Free, so I can't really complain

I was once told (not by OcUK) that next day was:

"the next day after despatch, not the next day after order"

So I waited 4 days for an item as it took them x3 days to despatch it...needless to say when they went out of business I wasn't surprised.

Technically it's from the day the order is processed so they didn't process the order in time yesterday!

Well this is kidna a big let down, my first order with overclockers and it's already going badly especially after paying for next day delivery with overclocker receiving the payment at 2;20pm yesterday. Even got an email saying that my parcel is going to be delivered today from DPD.
