Ill start by explaining the situation i am in at the moment as its not too straight forward.
I current have a work station / games machine that you can see in my sig. Tonight i plan on ordering a new media / workhorse machine for the family to use.
While i am ordering all the new parts i think ill buy myself a new GPU and put my old gtx 460 into the new family PC.

So my questions for you fine people:

1: What GPU would you buy for 300 or less? I use a iMac as my monitor so it needs to have a display port. I really like the look of the gtx 570 phantom (quietness a bonus)/ 6950 flashed but im still wide open to persuasion

2:What CPU / mobo combo for the family pc? It will be used for basic things. At the most it will be used for photoshop but no gaming whatsoever.
I have only kept up to date with the higher end line of things so im at a loss here maybe around £250 for both. Ill consider SB but it might be a pain as i cant really have and downtime with this PC.

For curiosities sake the family pc will have a 600 - 700 watt psu, fractal r3 case. Thanks in advance for and advice guys

As much as i would like a gtx560ti the only ones i can see with a display port are the ones from KFA :/ not a fan of them

Sounds like a reasonable CPU / mobo combo there ill def have a look into that

Buy another GTX460 for SLI, buy a cheap card for the family computer/or use the motherboards onboard GPU?

I actually have 2 gtx 460's in my PC at the moment. I am being greedy though so thats why im thinking of getting a different card :)

2 x 6950's are crying out to me
