Finally been paid and finally decided to rinse a nice chunk of it on a new rig :D

Been planning it for a while now and pretty confident i've chosen the right bits and pieces bar one or two things maybe. Intend to overclock, but nowt that hardcore.

Already have a Corsair 520watt PSU and 2x 500GB WD AAKS HDDs in my current pc to chuck into this beast. Probably gonna pick up a Samsung 226bw from town on the weekend as well - still uncertain on what monitor to get, wanna see em in the flesh first.

Any last words (or recommendations perhaps) before i blow my load? :x

Looks sweet :D just one thing, do you need the added features of Vista Ultimate as you could save a bit and get Home Premium.

Be sure to post some pics after building it

well, i dunno about the memory chief, if your using a high spec rig like that, the pc2-5300 memory might cause some bottlenecks, ive had poor experience of that before :(.

id drop to vista home premium unless you absolutly need the ultimate edition extra features as said in a previous post, and use the difference to pay for pc6400 800mhz stuff, i think theres some xms2 6400 for about 80 bucks on the site

Never really thought about getting anything other than ultimate tbh, i'll have a look-see at home premium before i order.
In regards to the ram, from what I've been told it's a bargain as it clocks extremely well (800mhz+) and at that price 4gb is a steal.

You heard right, especially with a Quad which is heat limited rather than FSB limited.

Cheers for the pointers, decided to go with Home Premium in the end, basically half the price and wont exactly miss some of the bells and whistles included in ultimate. Should be here friday, hopefully i can get off work early and get some pictures in before the end of the day :)

wicked stuff, ill remember that for when goin for my quad! they seem like top totty, cheap as, quadcore cpu's! with great potential :o
