Today I wanted to order a couple of 8 way surge protectors. I found them online and they were available to collect in store. Now my nearest store is Truro which is about a 15 minute drive. My mother happened to be there already so I gave her a rang and told her to go and check for me.
She went in and saw none on the shelf but saw the price tag. So she goes up to the cash desk and asks if they have any in stock and that it shows they do if I reserve them. However the lady on the desk told my Mum that they don't and that you need to reserve online...
So when my Mum got back and told me this I went online and reserved two. Now I will call up tomorrow to confirm but if it said they were available to pick up at my branch, then are they there to pick up at my branch? lol
I know it's kinda a "well how will we know" kind of question. Just I'm a little cheesed off that I will have to make a second trip because someone couldn't be bothered to double check out back to see if they had any. I worked at catalogue store a while back and know that if they said they had some online that they would have them at the branch unless someone didn't do the stock count correctly.
