Ordering Parts Tonight.

Hi everyone.

I'll be ordering all the parts for my new rig tonight, and just wanted to make sure I haven't done anything silly (incompatible hardware etc)

Also with an OEM dvd drive, am I right in thinking the sata cables will come with the mobo, or should I pick some of them up as well?

spot on, yes the cables come with the motherboard.

change the harddrive to a black, Samsung F3 or Seagate Barracuda 7200.12

That looks good, I think i am probably wrong with this
But if the 2 gtx 460s are both dual slot surely they will be covering both of the pci solts?
So you would not be able to use the wireless adapter you have selected.
And as for the hard drives, the Caviar Blacks and samsung F3's are rather good.

New Parts

Personally having spent so much on other components I would at least order 2 of the 500gb Hard drives to go RAID 0 for the extra speed.

I'm only jealous though as i'm still using my old q6600 (although it still a killer after all of this time)

I have a couple of the Abit adapters which I bought last year, I think there are only a handful on market.

Change the case, the 900 series makes me cry.

Personal preference though, if you like it go for it

The rest of the spec looks ace, have fun.

What would recommend changing it to?

Looks aren't overly important to me, just looking for enough room and decent airflow, which the 902 seems to offer.

Sub £100 if you have any suggestions that would be awesome

But if the budget is that important keep the 902 or get one of these
The Dark Fleet is apparantly a beast of a case

I also would suggest you buying a retail box for the OS just in case you change the board and then you won't need to pay for windows again.

Dunno about that cooler, but my cooler came with thermal paste applied, so I ended up not using my silver 5.
(it's been fine like this)

Better to be safe than sorry for £5. I have some thermal paste lying around but its about 2 years old, not sure how healthy its going to be
