Organised LAN Parties??

Hey everybody, and welcome to my first post!

Just a quick question really - I hope people can help me

I was just wondering if anyone knew where any good organised LAN parties are held? It would be for me and about 7 others, in the Merseyside/Lancs area if possible! We can travel further if needs be though

Anyone got any ideas? Maybe I'll see some of you there

Have you got any friends who're interested in the same sort of thing? I have maybe 7 friends who get together every now and again and essentially play Raven Shield 'til 3 in the morning

The I-Series are prob the best in the UK and the Biggest

As already stated the i-Series lan's are the biggest in the UK at the moment with over 1000 people regularly attending each event.

I have been to a couple of them and always had a great laugh, they are a tad expensive, but then they have costs too.

another is Down LAN oragnised by a small clan, normally hav about 50 or so people there and is held in a hotel in Selby.(leeds) check their site www.downclan.com.

Their lans are a little more relaxed too, they are not so strict on the file sharing side of things.

I-Series is the biggest but i definately wouldnt say the best.

I have been to a couple and dont get me wrong they are good - but its all a little too strict and maybe a little too big.

IMO a good lan party consists of 50 or so people lots of booze and extra

and a good time.

DownLans are good fun lans also

I'd have to agree /re smaller (50 person or so) LANs probably being better, especially for first-timers. The social aspect is immense

Been to a few, but not recently. Just about the right size 100-150 not too big not too small. Very relaxed you can pretty much do what ever you want, only lan ive been to and come away with 1TB of stuff

Lan's shouldnt be just about gaming.
