Trawling through the old threads I can't really find what I want.

I'm looking for something to do the following:

1) upload photos from my sd card reader
2) allow me to quickly view what I have uploaded frame by frame and delete the rubbish
3) allow me to organise photos into my folders year/location
4) slideshow feature
5) option to display full exif info as I view photos (at stage 1) preferably).
6) basic editing features cropping/red eye etc

Something along the lines of picasa, irfanview etc ie free!

Lighroo... oh, free? Nope can't help you there I'm afraid. But there is a small program that starts with Light and end in room that is quite good. ;)
 
Had a quick look at Lightroom and it looks way over the top for what I want which is basically a viewer with EXIF info.
 
The new picassa will - i think - let you do all this plus key wording for images.

I use lightroom and love it.
