I've just swapped my 6 disc changer for an MP3 compatible headunit.

Does anyone have any tips on the best way of organising your mp3s for optimal car use?

1. Do you just bung on as many as possible onto a CD and set it to random?

2. Do you have folders with artists, albums, genres?

3. Do you have discs full of a single genre?

4. Do you have a better idea?

I'm erring towards option 1 until someone tells me better...

Thanks

I just keep it to seperate folders for seperate albums and say if its a two disc album I will copy all the songs into one single folder.

For instance, the CD in my headunit at the moment has Pink Floyd-Dark side of the moon, The best of the Stone Roses, The best heavy metal album in the world...ever, Metallica-Woodstock 99', Rushour and Rushour 2 (dance compilations).

Random all the way. I don't like to fiddle with stuff whilst I'm driving and a set artist or genre gets on my nerves after 30 minutes or so.
