I received an email purporting suspicious activity on my account, so I changed my password on the EA site (obviously not following the link in the email), managed to log into my account with the intention of checking the two-factor verification

The regional language had been changed to Kazakstan and something which looked like Russian, I managed to changed this back to English

The two-factor verification had been switched off (I definitely activated this as I have the original email from april last year), however I now cannot switch it back on as the security question is now in Russian, can anyone read this

Now it may say what my security question is just in another language

I only had The Ultimate Command and Conquer collection associated with this account but this has now disappeared from the games list, two games have been added on 2nd June 2015, both with order numbers, I never received confirmation email so hopefully EA can tell me

Plants vs Zombies and Battlefied 3, both at the price RUB0.00, fortunately I do not store payment details in the account

Looks like the EA live chat is currently closed even though it appears to be connecting

Anyone else had this issue with their Origin account:confused:

Mine was taken over by somebody using Ukraine as their country of residence last week. I got back in using the password reset email but like yourself everything was in Russian. I couldn't lock the hacker out as they'd managed to change the security question required to setup two step authorization. Only got it back by getting onto live chat who reset the security Q's with me so that I could then setup SMS authorization from new devices. Even whilst I was in securing the account they were busy trying to change the country to Afghanistan!
Mine's an old account (2010) and the password was too simple. They're using a list of leaked gmail accounts and probably looking for Fifa stuff that can be converted to cash. There was nothing of any real value on my Origin acc, they never got anything really.

Same happened to me a couple of weeks back, nothing special on the account but the web chat was a waste of time.

some one from Russia has been trying to break into mine, keep getting password reset emails.

been changing passwords and double checking 2 factor all weekend

Finally figured out what was going on, totally forgot I had setup another Origin account years ago with the same googlemail.com account (new account used gmail.com), LOL

I just requested EA terminate this old account to prevent confusion again!

lol i do exactly the same thing regularly, logging into the wrong account to find there's only battlefield 1942 sitting there and no other games :D
