Origin.......ARGHHHHHHH!!!!

I don't find Origin that bad to be honest. This is the first major outage I've seen and at least there is an alternative, the monopoly Steam has even with its great sales is never a good thing for the consumer. Lets be honest Steams non-sale prices are hardly brilliant.

Yes it was frustrating when it went down for a few hours, but I just did other things until it worked again. Hardly the end of the world.

I have just installed Origin for the first time today (got Shift 2 on sale for £4 :p) and I am very impressed with it- unlike steam, I do not need to launch Origin and then Shift2 (like I would have with a steam game - launch steam and only then launch game). Origin is off, just click the game and play! No need to wait for client to authenticate, update, etc...

Thumbs up to Origin!:)

But the beauty of it is that I won't even be using it, how can I start hating it? Shift 2 online Autolog also works without Origin, so I honestly can not see why I would even launch Origin again, let alone start hating it.
As for steam, I need to launch it EVERY single time before launching the game itself, I need to wait for steam to attempt connection, look for updates, etc... Origin is perfect- install the game with it running, then disable origin and forget about it. At least that is the case with Shift2:)

just leave Steam running, anything else is despicable.

And as for needing Steam to run, Origin is required to play BF3 and Mass Effect 3 and probably other games too, don't think it's going to always be that way.
