Hey guys need some help with this. Basically I've moved the folder location of my origin games, and now when I try to launch them its attempting to download them all over again. I've changed the path on the origin settings but it still doesnt work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

lol did you use steam mover and then origin tried to patch?
same thing happened to me and I had to reinstall after I bought china rising

you could probably try and move the files back over and then do the recheck thing?

I had the same issue last night with bf4 :( moved to ssd to try and speed up map loading but origin threw a hissy fit. Tried the whole reinstall origin blah blah blah. Just re download it seems to be the only option :(

the only other option would be to tick keep game installers after install in the origin settings then.
you would still have to reinstall though if you were doing the shortcut thing and origin tried to patch but at least you wouldn't have to download everything

It has DRM on it you cannot just copy/paste you must do it via the installer only it seems.

Some games also hate if Origin is not on your C drive its not very well coded at all it even fails to pick up some EA games like NFS Most Wanted gets to 99% then fails (after 16GB download) unless you manually mess around with moving files.

I had this problem all i did was start the game downloading wait a min or so pause the download the i copied my gamer folder to where the new games was downloading. then once download resumed it has the full game :0

Thanks for the replies, got it to work in the end, should have probably tried this first time round, but all I did was click the download button on the game I wanted to play, it then found the original files (as I had previously changed the path in settings) and sort of corrected itself, took about 2 mins downloading and repatching it etc.
