Origin - Can't Log In

I've just bought Kingdoms of Amalur and stuck the disc in to install it. It started going through an install of Origin which then updated itself. I then filled in all my bits for an account and now I can't log in. I get the password screen but when I put my details in I just get told they are incorrect. I've tried uninstalling, rebooting and removing entries from the registry but still can't connect. After a bit of searching I can see there's loads of people having problems with origin. However, I can't even log on to the bloody thing! Any help greatly appreciated.

Just tried to create another account but it recognised my email. How do you find out if the server is down? My first time with this and not impressed! Is it any wonder people pirate games?

Origin can be a pain, Im guessing you have downloaded the Origin client, and your username and password are not working? If so, (unless its the Origin servers that are not working) I think there is a way of deleting an Origin file somewhere on your HDD, that basically deletes your client details and forces Origin to redownload them. (not the game files, just the Origin app.) Unfortunately I cant remember which file it is, try searching google or someone on here may pipe up.

I found a post saying that if you've played SWTOR then the password you used for that is now your origin password. Tried that and I was in! Never even thought of using that password. Installing now as we speak.

Had a similar problem a few days ago. Had to reinstall both origin and battlefield 3, and even then it took be quite a few attempts and needing to install it in safe mode with networking. Good old origin!

Had a problem after the last update where I couldnt log in when using my username in the 'username/email' field. When using my email it logged in fine.
