I've had Origin for just under a year now, mainly to play FIFA12 and have had no problems with it. Then last week, it suddenly wouldn't connect to the internet. I thought there maybe was a problem with Origin internally so I gave it a couple of days to see if anything would change. This wasn't the case so I looked for solutions online. I tried most things (e.g. changing my firewall settings) but nothing worked.

This lead me to the decision to reinstall windows. Not just because of Origin (I also wanted to partition my HDD and felt my computer needed to be cleaned as it was getting a bit slow with so many unnecessary programs installed.

I reinstall Windows and the basic programs (anti-virus, VLC etc.) and fanilly come round to Origin. To my amazement however, the same problem. I really thought it would work, but evidentally not.

Incidentally, this problem has coincided with most of Origin's and EA's websites being inaccessible, such as the store an the forum (so I can't even ask on there...).

Any suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

SOLVED: I took a look at Origin on regedit (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\origin\shell\open\command).

The (Default) key was set to the Origin.exe but after it was something like "1%". I simply deleted this, and now it's working... Relieved, but still infuriated.

Okay, it seems I spoke too soon. It was only a temporary 'solve'. The registry is still normal, and I can now get into Origin, but now it's just claiming I'm not connected. I've tried many of the suggestions on out there, but nothing's worked...yet. Any ideas?

I was connected to the internet at first obviously and then once again today (though on FIFA I couldn't finish an online game without it syncing out and Ultimate Team kept crashing FIFA altogether). After restarted my computer, it went back to having the offline problem.
