Origin Offering Deep Discounts On Many Games… Er?

im fed up with EA FIFA12 has become a joke the past few nights taking the pee to load up eaither crash and not open at all or crash on loading profile then after making a new profile the servers not to work properly

No surprise, such hypocrisy is typical of the hEAthen scum.

The faithful shall not be swayed! May Steam be upon you all, Gaben-u akbar!

It's quite clear now, EA are Templars!, where can I collect my assassination contracts from.... Maybe they are tied to the pesky Pigeon that wakes me up every morning :D

It is not that it's cool to hate EA it is that it's easy to hate them.
Worst customer service/support I've ever encountered from a company in any industry.

Well, there is also the fact that leading up to a sale, they will deny one is taking place. Either the EA execs don't know what their business is doing, or more likely they wantes to stop people "waiting for the sale"

Yep. Even when they try to do something customer-friendly they make a mess of it and their true money-grabbing intentions come through.

Imagine if EA focused all it's massive resources on just making great games instead, the money would take care of itself. Maybe once a company gets beyond a certain size it just can't stay as focused.

I only bought BF3 from them. I have been having issues where it loves to kick me off a server when I am doing multiplayer runs. So since then, I have just stuck to single player. Once I have finished the campaign (yeah still no where near finishing), then I will just put it one side and never touch it again.

The only other game I got thru Origin was FIFA10. Tho that was due to the fact that I bought the game back then and it seems they decided to offer a free download of it for me. Nice. But no thanks, now that FIFA is not what it used to be (FIFA 99 anyone?)

Funny, I have two games on Origin and bucket loads on Steam. I think I know where I prefer to spend my money. I would even go as far as buying a full price game on Steam than I would through EA. The last full price game I bought on Steam was MW3. Well it was bought on disc but activated through Steam. Guess that counts, no? :p

Never had a problem with Origin. I'd rather have BF3 in Steam, but hey ho!

Wrong way round. In 99 PES was king. In 2009 FIFA was, and still is king.

Played PES, didn't like it. Played FIFA from 98 all the way to 11 like a ritual. Even tried PES again in 11 and it felt better than FIFA. But after that, I just lost my interest in the football games. Even management games I was into heavily back in the days of FIFA Manager. Just don't appeal to me anymore like they used to.

Yeah I certainly don't play as much as I used to at home, but I play FIFA at work every lunchtime with colleagues.
