When i started windows up today all my games were there and playable but only from within the install directory, origin says ready to download underneath everyone of them, anyway to fix this ?

IMO Origin is naff in comparison to other game UI's like Steam.

I had a similar problem recently, I think it has something to do with registry entries. Maybe try regedit if you are experienced enough to start messing around with Origins reg entries.

Ive got a dual boot system, XP and Vista. 3 HDD's in total, one for XP, one for Vista and the 3rd for Games. Steam and Origin are both installed on the Games HDD. I can load up Steam when in either XP or Vista and everyting works fine. The only thing I have to do is copy the location of the save game files for each game to the correct loaction for both OS's. Eg, My Docs/My Games.

Origin however, if I install a game through Vista, eg Crysis 2, it says 'ready to download' in XP. God knows how to change this. As said above, I have to launch the game from a shortcut or from the install directory.

why not re-target the My Doc directory to a folder on the games harddisk or target to the vista mydocs folder? all it is a redirect anyway at least on xp, not sure on vistsa as i have got that up and running yet.
