Been having a clear out and finally decided that I should probably sell my old Xbox (the original one, not the one one

Anyway it plays fine, had a blast on Halo for a bit too long for a quick test but it is doing a thing on the memory screen where when one save game file in particular is selected it causes the console to freeze up.
I thought there was a way to wipe the HDD but can't find anything in settings and searching online just gets mixed up with newer xbox issues. I can't delete the save game file as it freezes up before the delete option shows (damn you Sega GT).
Anyone remember if such a thing was possible? It would be nice to be able to sell it to a new home rather than scrap it.
