Ive got a :
6300 @ 2.94ghz and at stock volts with a pro 7
2gb 6400 geil ram at 4 4 4 12, 2.1v and 1:1 ratio
a ds3 and akasa 460w psu

Im new to ocing and have got 2.94ghz so far at max load of 53dc.
When i take it up to 3ghz and run orthos after 1minute it turns red and starts bleeping. I cant rember if its an error or fail.

Do i need to increase the vcore a little as i dont want to do something thats gonna mess up what ive done so far. Is there anything else i should have done that i dont know about?

thanks

increase the Vcore a bit and see how much further it will go, just keep an eye on your temps, nothing you do will break your current OC, if you try it but decide you dont want to run it with more Vcore then just go back to your current settings :)

Drop the cpu multi to x6, re-run orhtos to see if its the cpu or memory failing. I'd say the memory meself but check it anyway, or slacken the ram timings to 5-5-5-15 and try again and make sure the Vdimm is set to "+3v".
