Howdy,

Just wanna ask people who use SP2004 Orthos for stability testing their dual core CPUS... what Priority do you run it on?

Jokesters guide says 10, but that is so high that I barely can move my mouse when it runs on that, and that crashes my PC on stock pretty much instantly.

What do you put yours at? Or do you leave it at 1? Or did you not even know the priority option existed :)

if pc is not in use then 8 or 9.

If pc is in use 5 or below.

Priority is just that - it will give priorty in levels 1(being the least) to ten(the most) of pc resources.

Something must be wrong if your system crashes at stock when using priority 10.

Basically the higher the priority the more often Orthos will get CPU timeslices and the less chance other processes get CPU timeslices hence why the system becomes very sluggish.

I usually run at priority 9 as 10 is a bit annoying. :)
