orthos query

put my e6600 in and all i did was up the fsb to 333 which give me a clock of 3.0ghz,everything runs fine so i did a run of orthos and this what happened,first core didnt go past 5 but had no errors were as the second core just kept going and going,any ideas please

Were you doing anything else with the PC at the same time? If a core is running something else then it'll lag behind anyother core that's only running Orthos.

If not then I'm a bit lost, though Blend can be a bit strange if one core ends up using all the RAM and the other one doesn't get enough RAM to run the CPU at full speed.

Is that the beta version for dual core?

yes its the better version,and i just left the pc to get on with it never ran any other programmes,and thanks for trying to help
