I am running two orthos sessions as Ortos requested [as I have an E6850] as cpu-0 and cpu-1, however while cpu-0 is whizzing along, CPU-1 is stuck in "paging" on the first test.

What have I got wrong please?

XP says I have an ACPI Multiprocessor PC
2GB Geil memory

When you say two sessions do you mean you have two instances of Orthos running, or do you mean you have one instance running two tests?

Mine sometimes does that, one core will be ahead of the other. Nothing wrong with it, but no idea why it happens.

2 instances of Orthos running.

Or ,as it seems, 1 running and 1 sitting in paging!:confused:

I am just concerned that my second core is not being used....

You only need to run 1 instance of Orthos to stress 2 cores. There should be 2 windows at the bottom saying "Using CPU #0" & "Using CPU #1" when you start the test.

I get this message;
"More than one CPU detected.
You should run two copies of SP2004 simultaneously."

Orthos is made for multiple core PCs so you only need to run one instance of the program to get it going on both cores :)
