I am unsure of whether this is supposed to happen but I ran Orthos and jesus christ almighty I honestly was about to **** my pants. My heatsink was making a heck of a lot of noise and I ran it for about 10 seconds... is this right?

Where does it tell me my temps? Additionally, would my PC actually go through that load with general processing i.e. gaming, word processing and database stuff with Oracle and SQL?

Unstable overclock, more volts?

Incidentally what multiplier do you think you're running? E6600s are locked to 9, and if you're running 740mhz DDR2 /2 = 370mhz X 9 = 3.33ghz Unless Speedstep is doing something mental.

Oh yeah, and what temps are you getting at idle and at load (well, as long as Orthos is running).

Nah not that kinda noise but it did increase (the sound). In BIOS I am getting temps of around 40 degrees but my heating is on and is boiling in my room :S

My multiplier is set to x9 and CPU-Z says my vCore is at 1.344V Bus and Memory speed is at 360MhZ...
