HEy guys which os is better to have 64 bit or 32 bit. I currently have 32 bit one. Does the 64 bit cause any problems..Did anyone try out the new windows7 64 bit. Cause I don't want to spend money on the 64 bit os for my new rig (i7). Thought i would download the RC version 64 bit cause I plan to buy 6GB ram

you'll need a 64-bit o/s or an i7 system is pointless. If you don't want to pay then get the W7 RC1 release

Like Mr-White said you def need to go 64 for your new system otherwise it's pointless.

Just download the beta for W7 64 it's free and gives you another year to save up to buy an OS later on unless you go down the Linux route which is always free.

A year? I thought it was only going to work fully until August and then shutdown your PC every two hours after that.

Edit ignore the above, just checked and it wont start doing the 2 hour shutdown until March 1st 2010 so final version should be out way before that :)

No point having 32-bit os especially if you have more than 3gb ram. I have vista 64 without any issues. (I would stay away from win7 64bit until its official release)

Been using a 64-bit OS for over a year now without any problems, unless you have some really obscure hardware you'll probably be fine.

Just installed win 7 64bit RC this week. Had some trouble getting wireless up and running(driver Problem and still not managed to get an old scanner working(win 2000 drivers with no updates available). really stable no problems at all I say go for it.

There's no point in having a 32-bit OS, even if you're running with less than 4GB.

Not getting a 64-bit aware OS is just wasting money, quite simply.

64 bit Win7 RC all the way. If you don't ever want to spend money on it though, tough quite simply. Wait until 7 is released properly and buy that, you have several months to save up. :)
