OS Chooser

After Vista corrupting my Ubuntu installation on a separate physical drive... :mad:

I've got Ubuntu reinstalled and GRUB working again. However, I might need to reinstall Vista at some point as my testing of it has a potential to mess it up, thus losing my GRUB temporarily again

Does anyone use an independent OS chooser, is it worth me moving to one? Advantages/disadvantages?

Err what do you mean by independent OS chooser?

Grub is independent is some regards. Only NTLDR can boot winxp with or without grub.

By that are you meaning an app which starts at boot-time and gives you the options of Windows/Linux/Whatever else?
