OS Commerce

Just set up an online shop using OS Commerce.

Trying to find some free templates for it, but not having much luck. Anyone know of anywhere I can get some?

This won't help you at all, but just out of interest why on earth did you choose to go with os commerce?

I don't know tbh! It was on Fantastico and so was simply a point and click installation.

It's reasonably easy to edit the layout etc using CSS, but I'm very lazy and would rather just apply a pre-made theme.

I'm setting up a shop to sell fishing tackle etc, is there any other free systems you would recommend?

I'd use OpenCart over OsCommerce personally; it's very well put together.

Just had a look at the demo, looks very nice indeed!

I shall give it an install and have a play!

Themeforest have a section just for opencart. http://themeforest.net/category/ecommerce/opencart

As the above says, stay well clear of OScommerce, it's old software with a lot of security flaws.

I'd use OpenCart over OsCommerce personally; it's very well put together.

Yer, was going to suggest that myself too.

It's VERY organised and easy to adjust as it's based on MVC and easy to understand template files. Much better than OS commerce.

If you feeling ambitious and have some decent hosting (and a decrnt amount of products to warrant this and don't mind a very bloated admin area) give magento a try.

Although by the sounds of it, Opencart woulpd be a much better choice.
