Got a problem with my Intel Nuc which has progressively gotten slower and slower.

Was lightning quick for about a year but now things feel like I have to wait a couple of seconds for them to load, and then load slowly. Mainly notice in browsers when opening webpages or clicking on links, checking photographs from my camera etc

Specs

i3 3217U @ 1.80GHz (dual core with HT)
120GB Crucial M5 SSD
8GB DDR3 1600MHz
Intel Advanced N 6235 Wireless Card

Upgraded to W10 Pro from W8.1, but I started to notice slow down before upgrading to W10. Now even worse in W10

Also Chrome has been unbearably slow since day one for me, IE11 was my browser of choice due to chrome being so slow.

Any suggestions?

Tried TRIM?

Have you used cleaning tools such as CCleaner?

How many programs do you have at startup?

Also, have you set the power profile to 'high performance'?

No not tried trim, is there a built in tool?

Had it in high performance mode, but was still sluggish then. Have put into power saver recently as wasn't using as frequently plus have changed login to a 4 digit pin so login every time isn't a pain.

I don't think I have that many, plus its slow all the time. Startup includes 10 programs

Delayed Launcher Intel
Google Drive
HKcmd
igfxpers
igfxtray module
Logitech download assistant
Microsoft office 2010
Microsoft onedrive
program
pximouse

Do you mean Crucial M4?

Try the latest firmware for it.

How many processes does Task Manager show at startup?

CCleaner is great for removing startup entries, browser plugins, context menu items and scheduled tasks. Check the 'Start up' screen, post screenshots here if you like. -disable the 'monitoring' section of Ccleaner which they've added in recently :/

Fresh install seems to have done the trick, browsing is still a little on the slower side (miles better than before) but I think that's due to not having adblock installed with edge so having to load ads is probably slowing it a little.

Will upgrade firmware just in case too.
