Hi ive purchased a Dell PowerEdge R210 ii from dell.
Can i run Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 SP2 32Bit with out any problems ?
Its going to be a game server .

I would have thought you might have checked that before buying it, however on checking the Dell website, drivers are for 2008/2008 R2 only for Windows
 
Well says theres an option to downgrade to 2003 if you purchase 2008 and the downgrade otion when ordering the server so i thought it would be ok !!

There seems to be that many os cant they keep it simple.

Yes it does really

How easy is it to install it .Well i have a copy of Server 2003 Standard R2 SP2 would this be a straight install or be hassle . I use a server now with 2003 and i have programs that may only work with this early version 2003.
I run old games and i have old programs that have been made just for this game / server (mohaa)

My main concern is will it be ok . says on my box of 2003 32bit or 64 which is best ? 64? .
But i have never installed a server os before so little worried . Theres a opk cd ive popped it in my pc with win 7 to have a look but thrashed my head . It did not show a option up and had to search for it hope you know what i mean on the (Preinstallation kit )...

Can any one guide me through the install process please.? my server should be here soon so would like a bit of info what to do before it comes .

The general way is boot using the build DVD from Dell, if you dont have one, you can usually get it from the Dell website, boot from it, select your OS, fill in the details etc.. and then it starts the preinstallation tasks and it will then ask you for your 2003 media, pop it in and then it will install windows for you.

Depends on your server's spec as to which windows version you use, does the software you want to install have a 64bit version?
 
just read box says win 32 ;( so nope must just be win 32 not 64 . I was reading the wrong part before thought it was 32 or 64 . Im noob to server os sorry
