OS Ten, MacOS, OSX ??

When you are talking (by movement of the mouth muscles and use of your voice box) about MacOSX, how does you say it? I know some people say OSX (as in oh-ess-ex), and some people say OS Ten.

I personally say OSX, is there a right and a wrong way?

Well, I think most people say Oh ess x.

It is however, the tenth version of operating system. I would argue that both are correct, in that they are accurate descriptions of the same piece of writing. I think if you wanted to apply a justification to the usage of either, OS ten is more appropriate and correct. This is because it shows an understanding of Roman Numerals specifically ten and saying OS X just highlights ignorance of this fact.

Caring is pedantic and really, this issue is not that important.

I say a bit of both, like if I am talking about the diffrent MacOS's like MacOS 9 I will say it as 10 not X. But if I say something liek "MacOSX is a silly OS", that will be like an X.

I think thats the correct way to say it and i frequently use that but it probaly is ok to use both, stevie has a lot on his plate wont be too bothered lol

OS Ten for me..X being the roman numeral for the number 10.

If I say 'Oh Ess Ten' no-one has any idea what I'm talking about. If I say 'Oh Ess Ex' they either know I'm talking about the current Apple operating system or think I said 'Oh Sex'. Either is fine by me

Although I'd opt for a centimetre rather than an inch, and I'd use something heavier than the anti-stupidity stick.
