iMac seems a little nippier in Safari with this update, on a par with what I'm seeing in recent WebKit nightlies really.

Had to flip TRIM support off/on with TRIM Enabler to bring that back to life too, although it always gets switched off during point upgrades of the OS due to KEXT replacement I believe.

Will do the Air later tonight I think, would like some sleep now!

I guess we'll likely see 10.9 preview sometime soon too. Gossip with our a verified source on MacRumors points to press hacks getting DP1 a week ago...

Updated last night on my MBP, downloaded quick, updated smooth. Didn't really play with it much but doesn't appear too much has really changed from the update notes.

Cheers, new mac user here. Updating now, but had to restart aswell I thought with macs you didn't have to restart the machine with a software update! It's no biggy I just didn't expect to see it asking me to restart.

Most updates don't require a restart but this is a major point update so yes, restart required.

Downloading the combo now but won't get a chance to install it until late this evening.

Anyone's weather widget working? nevermind, seems to be working now. Seems to have tripped up at some point.

Restarts are routinely required for minor point updates such as this one, it's normal.

Didn't really play with it much but doesn't appear too much has really changed from the update notes.

That's because the majority of people only ever see the sanitized notes and the juicy bits are left out.

Safari 6.0.3 fixes 15 remote application termination or arbitrary code execution flaws plus a couple of XSS problems.

v10.8.3 fixes 20-something security vulnerabilities in OSX, including one which could start Java applications even if you had the plug-in disabled. It also runs a malware removal program on your Mac.

So it actually plugs a lot of holes and is a good update if you're at all security minded. :)

The intel IGP drivers don't install for bootcamp - at least on newer mbpr forcing the dedicated nvidia gpu on all the time, which means battery doesn't last long at all.

Oh right, got a feeling that might be deliberate so you use OSX on the battery more...

It was the case with my 09 mbp that I could only use the 9600gt for windows and the power saving 9400 could be only switched between in osx...

Which rMBP is it, the 15" or 13"? The 15" will only be able to use the nVidia GPU in BootCamp. It's not a bug it's a "feature"
