I have been trying to see if I can alter the grey colour style of OS x to a more nice colour like theme is this possible without having to install anything or have i got to install somthing?

You can't, not without installing something. Anyway why would you? Just sit back and enjoy the scenery. :)

I take you dont alter yours then?
Good lord, such heresy!

I have never really thought about it. I have seen posted shots of tweaked and altered OS X's here but I am not sure what people have used. There are a few apps - ThemeChanger (free) Candybar and Shapeshifter (not free) and ThemePark but I have never used any of them so can't comment.

Come to think of it a lot of XP users seem to be determined to change their theme to look like OS X. :D

your right there I have seen loads of Windows Shoot looking like OS X like adding Dock and things like that.

Hmmm maybe I stick with the defaults for a bit then :D

26 seconds of googling (Yes I actually did time it) yielded the following:

Shapeshifter

UNO

p.s. I dont know about Mac users but UNIX users generally expect the OP to do a little legwork themselves from time to time ;)

Need to pay for it lol

You never want to pay for anything do you!

Buy CandyBar - it's worth the cash.

There are loads of tiny Mac Apps out there that only cost about $10 - 15 and are so so worth it.

Exactly - I would say look at the feature set at all of panic.com's software - it's phenominal for the equivlent of a tenner - and there are far more small business' like this out there!
