I've been trying to get my Vista Laptop to see a FAT32 External HDD that I've set up.
I've shared the drive itself, I've created the relevant accounts and also tried samba/ftp but no joy.
I think I'm getting stuff on the initial connection though; When I browse to \\192.168.0.2 it comes up asking me for a username and password box as I would expect, but that's as far as I can go..
I've tried various different combinations, but none have worked so far. I've tried adding the machinename.local\username, tried creating new accounts etc but nothing works.
I've even changed the registry within Vista after hours of googling in desperation thinking it was an NTLM authentication issue, but nope. No joy
Any ideas? Any help will be much appreciated as I think I'm now going bald :|
