Just found this one out, I have no idea why it is there or what use it has but pretty coll anyway:

Ctrl + alt + Apple + 8

:D

Go on, list your favourite OS X shortcuts for us all to share. :)

Lol... love that ctrl, alt, command, 8. Brilliant.

my favourite is command(apple) C, command V and command A - basic, yes but damn thei're useful when typing class notes.

It's not meant to be pointless, it's for people with impaired vision (inverting colours can help sometimes with reading etc).

If you have the latest software update (10.4.8) then hold down ctrl and move your scroll wheel on your mouse (or ball if you have a might mouse, or 2-finger scroll on notebook)

shift + apple + 4 then click and drag. Check the new file on the desktop.

then try:

shift + apple + 4 let go and press spacebar. Now move the pointer over things like windows etc (check icons and the clock too) - Click and check desktop!

Might not be a 'neat' keyboard shortcut but still handy!

Fn + Up = Page Up
Fn + Down = Page Down

I was getting sick of slowly going down pages using the down key but its okay now :p

You can also use Apple+up/down to jump top to bottom in one hit :)
Also, Apple+Left/Right is Back/Forward (on web and stuff)
