Hi

did anybody else see the post via http://www.macrumors.com/ about running os x on apple tv? i missed it and it looks link the page has been taken down. but I think it may have been an april fools gag. anyone can confirm one way or the other?

Thanks

I saw it on Digg, but didn't actually click the story, however as the AppleTV OS is just a cut down OS X, I expect it was true.

The hardware specs make for interesting reading. The Apple TV hardware isn't a million miles from the core solo Mac Mini - remove some CPU power and add proper graphics hardware. I'm still wondering how they can make a profit on the hardware. I suspect they can't and anticiapte making profit from the iTunes store.

watched the video, quite interesting, Apple always seem to shoot themselves in the foot with stuff like this :p

The Apple TV only has 256 megs of RAM though, which is a bit light for OS X though, right?

Get Linux on it and turn it into a nice MythTV box :)
