OS X Print screen ??? Help

How do I get a print screen or screen dump in OS X and where do I paste it too, seen that CMD + Shift + 2 copys it but to where ???? :confused:

Need it for a movie snap shot.

Says I cant use screen grab wile i'm playing a DVD movie, now that's rubbish.

Does it not have a snipe tool like in Vista

Any other idea's :confused:
