Are there any good books to read about this? We did it at uni but I have since lost all of my notes.

I'd like to polish up my knowledge, I may even take it on holiday to read/take notes

Syngress Network+ Exam N10-003 has a fair few details about it. It also maps to the TCP/IP model and the DOD model as well. To be honest though if its just that I'd check out wiki, probably has much the same info.

The Cisco CCNA book is great for getting off your feet with networking theory. Ive used it more than my lecture notes this year.

seconded that, the two books i have cover CCNA 1 and 2, and CCNA 3 and 4. Not sure if they do a combined book for all CCNA modules?
