Osiris: New Dawn (like No Mans Sky but FPS?)

I remember being interested in this when it first came out, the reports I read at the time generally werent good but it had potential, so I held off from buying it and thought I would wait and give it more time to cook....that was 5 years ago and its STILL in early access. At this point I dont hold out much hope that it will ever be fully released.

I did my usual and bought this many years ago and played it in various broken states. It's surprised me by getting a lot better tbh.

Sound effects are awesome, has a nice feel to it but I always felt the AI was dreadful and they ruined it by over powering stuff that was basically dumb rather than making them better at pathing etc.

Last time I played you only had one choice of class. Not sure if the map has changed but I really enjoyed exploring (got about 40hours in total)

FYI this is nothing like no mans sky.

It's more like a futuristic ARK but with nothing tameable, largely dead world with (somehow) worse AI but runs better.

Tried playing this a while ago with a mate, spent the first hour trying to find each other on the map and dodging random enemy spider/crab things that spawn in by falling from the sky in front of you. Then spent the next few hours building a little base for ourselves and crafting stuff to help get started. When we logged out, nothing had been saved and we'd lost hours worth of stuff and had to then spend forever trying to find each other again. Gave up on it for about a year or so, tried again a few months ago but just couldn't get back into the swing of things.
