OS's that can load into and run from ram

Not heard of Puppy before, but Knoppix is very useful for system recovery and well established.

I believe Linux SLAX can, I just use it off of the Live CD that I downloaded and burnt.

Yeah I've tried it before with Slax, using the "toram" boot parameter. Was very fast!
