OSX Doesn't Load :(

Hey MacGuys,

My MacBook has stopped working ! I turn it on and it shows the Apple Icon and loads for 5 min, then starts to load up OS (progress bar bit) which takes 5 min and then goes to a blue screen and doesnt do anything!!! I've restarted, left it off for hours and tried again but nothing!!

I rarely turn it off, and recently the software kept crashing, Safari, MSN, Skype and Firefox so i switched it off, turned it back on and now this is happening!!

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Have you tried the hardware test from the OSX disc that came with your MB?

Hold down.. Alt + Cmd + P + R then push the power button.

Keep holding the keys until you hear a second chime/bong

If not you will have to reinstall off the Leopard disk.

You won't loose your files if you do an Archive and Install iirc.

If you reinstall you may find holding C does not work when trying to boot the disk - so use alt.
