I would like to create a mailing list to inform people of updates on my website.

What is the best way of emailing more than say 25 people on a mac? I don't want all the recipients emails being shown.

Thanks.

A group in address book. However, this puts everyone on the 'to' list, so they can see each other.

I just tried something, cut everyone out of the 'to' field and pasted them into the BCC field, seems to have worked.

I would use something like Campaign Monitor.

It really depends how flashy you want your e-mails to be, but you can make them tie-in with the look of your website, get analytics of who's opened your e-mails and clicked links etc.

It does cost but it's a tiny fee, especially to a list of 25 or so people.

I don't want to pay for anything if I can do it in mail. My emails won't be anything html based. I want to keep them nice and simple. Thanks for the link though. I might want to change over to this in the future.

Thanks. I am a bit unsure where I specify 'undisclosed recipients'?
You don't specify it. Where you have to, cc, subject fields, use the button to the left to add a 'bcc' field. This is blind carbon copy, meaning they won't see who else is receiving it. Do it like normal - type the name of the group, hit enter. It'll put in all the addresses. Then just do a select all, cut them, and paste them in the bcc field instead.

undisclosed recipients is what they'll see in the 'to' part at their end.

I have managed to do this following this guide.

However – is there a way of showing only the recipients email in the 'To' field when they receive the mail but not showing the other recipients in the mailing list. I would rather not have ''undisclosed recipients' in the 'To' field.

You could make a dummy contact in address book and call him 'MyBusiness Customer' or whatever, and stick him in the 'to' field, but past that you'd probably need a dedicated thinger like Campaign Manager.
