OSX navigation usability help

I been a Windows user for the past 10 years. I got my first Mac about 3 weeks ago. I've set everything up the way I like now and getting use to a different way of working.

But there is still one thing and that is navigating different open finder windows/open apps. With MS Windows all open windows are shown on the taskbar. How do you quick switch to different open windows on the Mac?

Are you using the Apple mouse? If so click the side mouse button, cascades all open windows and fits them on screen. Or on the keyboard press F3

Don't forget Command-Tab (switch between apps) and Command-~ (switch between windows within an app).
